Seems my impression of the incident at the game was the correct one. I did fear a ban given the current climate but, despite the disingenuous clip doing the rounds, it was a very typical, everyday tackle. The fact that he gets pulled off his feet really shouldn't be seen as an improper tackling technique.
I'm surprised it wasn't a ban given how these things have been going this season but I think it's a rare case of sanity breaking out. I hope it isn't an isolated occurrence.

I've said previously I'd love to just focus on the cases that are judged too harshly and if any player, from any club doesn't get punished, when you expected they might, that is something to celebrate. I thought Namo was harshly treated and a good few players before him have been. In recent weeks I've now seen Nsemba not get a ban when I thought he would, Moylan not get one against us, two Catalans players not pick up bans from the Saints game and so on and hopefully it's a sign of some common sense starting to come in to play. The play acting on the field looks to be getting ignored now more often than not as well, so it's moving the right direction.

We’ll need Nsemba against KR. Be a difficult game against them but Catalan showed big pack can dominate them and they couldn’t match their intensity
I disagree, as I said previously there was no foul play in that tackle so how Junior could be suspended was beyond me. I think the problem is that everyone presumes a suspension will follow when injuries occur after such incidents. The Castleford layer’s tackle was far worse.
FFS this is rugby league we shouldn’t have been debating whether Juniors tackle was worthy of a ban. Injuries happen, that is the nature of the game. If players are going to be sat down for such incidents then it is time to wrap it up.
They’re not happy on Red Vee. I couldn’t work out from one guys post if he was describing what happened in the Nsemba tackle or if he’d seen him at Alton Towers on the Smiler!

Haha...Brian Nazareth! If brains were dynamite... Apparently Nsemba's tackle was the very definition of a hip drop despite him going down front first. He must have hips in his face

The guy is pure comedy gold and is bitter beyond belief
It wasn't Big Brian actually, it was somebody else, whose username escapes me. Brian couldn't describe a tackle because he wouldn't get past the way in which he uses many expletives alongside the word 'Pie'.
Happy he's in the clear, think he's been quite lucky, him not landing on the attackers legs has probably saved him. Hope the coaching staff have a little word with him to work at staying on his feet and getting closer in the tackle, I think they might have had a similar chat to KPP middle of last year, he was very grabby in tackles early on.
