good point about hanley though.
For me Bailey, Phelps and probably Smith are 2nd graders IMO and I would rather see Mossop, Ainscough and S. Tomkins come through

Much of the rest of your post is incorrect as well, but everyone is entitled to there opinion.
in your constant bullsh1t babbling.... ..change the record, we can allsit here and be judgemental, at everything that noble does or doesnt do in your case...do you really think that the problem lies with noble???...goodway, betts, not mentioning MIKE GREGORY as he didnt get enough time unfortunately, millward, and now noble have all had the same problems as the next one has had. To me it stems deeper than the coach, theres a vast majority of the wigan squad who do not want to play with any pride or have any understanding about how passionate our town is for rugby league, look at other clubs in SL they have foreign players, irish, french, scottish etc playing in there sides who put there heart and soul into there game week in week out... we as a club from a playing aspect have forgotten what being wigan is and we have too many ego's flying about in the dressing room...now you can blame the current coach all you want but the top and bottom of it is we have had this problem since we last won superleague, and until it is sorted out we will never move forward as a club, and if it were upto me playing personnels heads would roll, regardless of who they are!!!

I have no direct contact with Wigan nor do i get any inside info on the club. I know nobody associated with the club, i have never claimed to do so nor have i ever claimed to know what is going on behind the scenes.
Where to start on the rest of the post. Yes i do think the problem lies woth Noble, Betts was not ready for first team he was thrown into the breach, Millward was a shocking appontement as he lost the dressing room prior to even turning up.
Mike Gregory was the coach that looked to be turning us around and under whome we made some progress.
Who is responsible for player recruitment and selection, who is responsible for picking these overseas players even though they are not performing over the local Wigan lads?
Too many ego's flying around the dressing room?! Do you think there are as many ego's as the widely reported ego's of the glory years? How did the coaches then manage these massive ego's yet Noble cannot? A failing of Noble to control this perhaps? Clearly not in your opinion but it would be interesting to see who you think who is responsible for managing these ego's and who managed the ego's of Hanley, Goodway, Gregory, Edwards, Skerrit etc etc etc in days gone by.
Your last statement is an odd one. Who has the ability to drop players if the ego's are getting in the way? Basically you are saying it is not Nobles fault there is nothing he can do, but then state that if you were in a position of authority like Noble is (and what better position) heads would roll?! Contradicting the rest of your own post. While Noble is not in a position to fire players he is in a position to drop, remove from training and isolate these "ego's", and as you say heads would roll, so why has he not done this?
Basically all the issues you list in support of Noble highlight his failings thus far better than i could. Thanks

I forgot you cant have a opinion on here if you didn't go to the game
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
So who in your opinion is responsible for managing the ego's in the dressing room? Who is responsible for team selection, who has a major say in recruitment, who should be held accountable for this?
All issues you raise, and i await your reply with interest.
Regards Hanley i think he is the man as he will instantly command respect from the dressing room, something i do not think Noble or Millward prior to that ever did.
As i said above i await your response to the points raised with interest rather than slating me and not adding anything to the discussion, can you manage that?
The bit in bold shows what little clue you have if you think one of the greatest players the game has seen "talks a good game".

His defence is lacking but going forward he should if used right have a field day with assists.
I would love him to comitt long term to us, over and above Leuleui, but do not think it will happen.
Bailey and Phelps i have to agree with the poster though.
Jonh,
My concerns have been well documented re the Timmy Tommy partnership.
I have always thought that they were similar players and if they were going to play together than we would need big, strong, fast players outside them.
Smith was superb last night, his choice of pass ans kick was exquisite. A fit Karl Pryce (Keith Senior, Gary Connolly, Paul Newlove, Inga) type Centre would have had a field day.
The solution maybe to play Sam at 6 , and Tommy at 9 with Riddell.
But where does that leave McIlorum?
