If hes good enough for Huddersfield playing like this he's definanetly good enough for us.

He would be an improvement on any of our props IMO.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

With reguards to the prop situation we have him already at the club in Mossop, he's already hitting super league at a pace so imagine him in 2011 with 1 and a half years experience under his belt? By 2012, Hock will be back, we will have got rid of Fielden and have a decent prop to play along side Mossop and we could be looking at a team of:
Phelps Roberts Gleeson Goulding Richards Sam New 7 New 8 Leuluai Mossop Hock Joel O'Loughlin
Feka Prescott McIlorum Farrell
With players like Farrell, McIlorum, Prescott, Joel, Mossop, Sam, Goulding, Phelps all getting better as they get more experience and still being young we could really be looking at a dominant team for the next couple of years. (if we manage to get the right coach)
That is about the most sensilbe thing I have read on here for a while. For me we need a prop and thats about it. Stop the changing of the squad, have faith in our youth and we will not be a million miles away. Adding more than 2 new faces a year no matter how good they are causes too much disruption and gets us no where.

Trouble is a lot on here have the Uncle Mo way of thinking quick fix. Thank God I.L. has his head screwed on right and is one that plans ahead. It takes time to turn things round and we are going in the right direction now lets just keep it up.
Best Wigan No7 ever Terry Newton Wigan legend RIP

He looked a good player yesterday and is a decent player overall. He's a similar quality to Prescott and Coley, better then the level Fielden is currently at and better then Feka(although if Feka got fit he'd be light years ahead of Griffin).
I'd take him in an instant with the way things are in that department at present.

Yeppers. The reduction of imports will see us rise again. We will produce the youngsters as we always have, but we will not have to either be creative with the cap, or complete with others who are more creative. When other, smaller, wannabe club, get the level playing field they want, thay are the ones who will be found lacking. I would like to see the cap raised for clubs who do have the money, its not their "fault" they raise more, the others should get their act together.
Althougth we all want greater success, we would be odd if we did not, i can see us rising very quickly from the total mess of 2006....

It's very interesting that Griffin has been cited by a number of Wigan fans as the sort of 'poor quality signing' that has bedevilled us for several years now.
This is a mindset that we simply have to change.
It's a form of petulant arrogance that led one particular Wigan fan, who no longer posts on here, to make repeated statements to the effect that only the very best in the world were good enough for Wigan.
Sure, it's desirable to have players like that - but these days you're only going to get them now and then. The past is gone; that era will never return as long as there's a salary cap.
Meanwhile, we SHOULD be looking at players like Griffin, who are performing very well in a team that is way better than us.
