He's a handy player. He isn't in the class of Manfredi or Burgess but he's certainly better then our alternative options and he's played a bit of Centre which could be very useful.
One worry I have currently is that I see the Burgess clan (including the mother) putting pressure on Joe Burgess to stay at South Sydney. That would be a huge blow if he did decide to change his mind. Fingers crossed its just banter.
Where have you seen that? Is there an article? In any case, he wouldn't be able to just renage on his contract with us surely.

Surely there'd be the devil to pay if he tried it.
That would definitely be an occasion when the club would need to look to its own interests first and demand that a contract be honoured.
We'd have gone from having three international standard wingers to having one (who is badly injured).
If I was chairman, I'd find any such suggestion completely unacceptable.

They're on to him on Twitter.
The mam posted a picture of her hugging him after the last game with the caption 'please stay in Sydney' or something similar.
Sam Burgess is in to him as well promising to cool his food for him! It all seems quite light hearted to be fair and they've stated that Joe Burgess is having none of it so fingers crossed.
Tierney showed his weakness on the wing tonight. He's poor under the high ball, has little to no kick return threat and is probably the weakest winger in the league. Gets barged in to touch almost every time & as a result he tends to cut inside more & more. Not a long term option for me. An experienced Michaels would do a great job
"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.
Michaels is completely underrated, great under the high ball, strong in the collision and brave as they come - relatively quick too.
Only weakness, which many wingers who have been centres previous suffer from, is his finishing ability. He cannot go in the air like a Makinson/Talanoa
Tierney 3 year deal looks awful. Terrible last night, didn't win a collision once.
RICHARDS IS SUPERMAN!!!!
