I just wonder if the NRL will make the penny drop a little. If he gets himself fit in the off season he may make a decent crack of it.

If he fails in guessing you won't welcome him back to Saints :D

He's petrified and when the penny drops he's in the NRL he's going to need a lot of toilet roll.

Sarginson will not be missed by the Wigan management and there will probably be a queue offering to drive him to the airport.

He will learn how to pass in the lower grades when he plays there. Hopefully he comes back 10x the player he is now but I suspect it won't be with us, and possible not even in League.

His one attribute is totally outweighed by the fact he has no natural rugby ability and in his time at the club he hasn't improved one iota in terms of ability. He might be fitter and work harder but his skill levels have remained pretty low to non existent.

That's a very accurate assessment.

We signed him as a project player, but he's never kicked on from Day One.

Like you say, lots of energy, but very much inclined to be a headless chicken. In addition he has no vision. He misses overlaps, he takes wrong options, he passes to no-one. He also lacks strength to break the tackle, so his 'perpetual motion' approach simply doesn't work when everyhone he makes contact with is able to take him down.

I doubt he'll do much in the NRL, and expect that in due course he'll find a much easier berth in Union.

I agree, and I think, for all Saints fans slag him off, Turner has a better (although still fairly slim) chance of making it in the NRL, purely because he's a big lump who can break tackles, and the Aussies have made silk purses out of sow's ears before now.

I fully believe Sarg will nail a starting shirt in the NRL.

Certain elements of his gave really suit that comp. His fitness and willingness to put in the hard yards will see him I am sure a regular starter.

Turner is the personification of average. There is not 1 facet of his game that indicates he has a shot at being a regular NRL player. He has no pace, doesn't make big yards, just a jack of all trades master of non. Not suited to the NRL at all.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Hiya Jukes. Ive been on here on a pretty regular basis. Still stand by that we won't win it even when (if we ever do!) get to near a full team. We have obviously improved since ST started playing however, even with him back I just don't see us as a good rugby team.
We aren't a good team but what we do have is a great team spirit which in a very poor competition can and obviously does get you results. Wire and to a lesser degree Hull haven't kicked on as I thought they would do and Catalan can't buy a win at the moment. Saints have been very poor at times but still wouldn't be surprised to see them grab 4th spot and as they say in a knockout competition it depends who turns up on the day/night.

Still happy to have a bet that we won't win it or get to the final. Not sure what the odds are the moment as I genuinely haven't checked for several weeks? I did check (pm) a couple of times but don't think you contacted me via pm to confirm the bet?
If you did I apologise and we can still sort something out

I think the competition that the club wants and probably needs to win is the CC.

Jeez Itchy... You were bleating about how we were so poop we were heading for relegation early in the season, like many others on here... Now it looks as if you are trying to wriggle out of the bets you made!!

:)

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
