As much as I enjoyed the arrogant Aussies being shut up yet again, albeit with a none impartial ref and a home field advantage, myself and my daughters had the misfortune of sitting next to the most disgusting family I have ever come across. They claimed they were Wigan fans and the filth that came out of their mouths would indicate they were from Wigan, but their personal hygiene was terrible.

Thats funny,we had a saints fan with a beard (prob to hide stretch marks ) behind us who did nothing but insult the Wigan players etc. What is it with these Idiots why pay your money to go and watch a game and call and insult a team in a game that has nothing to do with their team. I do find it strange, anyhow his face at the end was a picture as I was celebrating a great win.

I agree. He should've been at Huddersfield with the rest of us.
However you yourself Jason have brought up Saints for no reason on the Liam Farrell thread so pot kettle black and all that.....

I think on the whole the Australian media have been very sporting and respectful with the Wigan win. There is always a vocal minority but most acknowledge that any poor referee decisions shouldn't take away from how courageous and resilient Wigan were on the night. Gus Gould also pointed out that you don't see any other teams in the NRL keep Penrith to nil in a full half and gave a stat that Penrith have won 73 out of 74 games in the NRL when winning at half time. The only thing that does tend to come up a fair bit is when absent Penrith players are listed (even players like Crichton who have left) but there is no acknowledgement of the absences of Thompson, Walters, Havard and Nsemba(likely because they have no knowledge of it) or the fact that Wigan had one player who was injured the whole 20 minutes he played (Leeming) and two others who had to leave the field through injury. It really was one of the bravest performances you will see.

Was watching a program last night and amidst all of ticket stuff going on it made me think It said people are 30 x times more likely to write a letter of complaint or something negative than something positive At the time I was thinking how true that is (BTW, people predicted chaos at the WCC over tickets and seating, went like a dream) and how that constant negative can influence casual observers/fans perspectives of companies/people/clubs when the reality can be so different (not going to expand on this at this point but if someone wants me to I will).
But then seeing this morning made me happy and proud Fair play to the couple who did this And what a classy response from the Panthers

Have you seen Rads on the Sportsman RL show this week? He said he had 50+ letters of complaint about the appointment of Peet at the time and funnily enough, he hasn’t had any letters of apology since or ones saying it was a great decision.
