I wonder how many of these disgruntled supporters were at Salford on Thursday night?
i'm a non ST holder after having one for many years
I've no issue with missing out as simple maths says we have approx 7.5k season ticket holder and were given between 3-3.5k tickets, so there could be 4k ST holders missing out too. It has always been a correct perk of buying a ST that you got priority on all tickets sales, so again i've no issue
Now we all know that lots of ST holders may only attend the games they've paid for up front and they dont do home cup or play off matches. When i sat in the East stand, you knew which ST holders would be there for the games that werent season ticket matches. I'm not criticising anyone by this either as we all have choices to make, whether to go to ST home games, all home games, or all games home and away.
I cant remember if i posted on here or other forum, that we should be praising our away support as we've had full houses at Leigh, Salford and Warrington last year, and quite rightly, sold out for GF this year. The club has reconnected with the fans over the last 2 years or so, and you can see with the examples i've just given. Winning helps, but the club needed to start reconnecting well before and thats credit to Matty Peet and the club for recognising where they were
