They deffo don't like the cards all stacked in their favour and they deffo Don't react badly to losing Having witnessed in person their 2008 world cup final loss they are the epitome of Good sports Overall a very good day, just wished we'd lost to keep everyone else happy.
Also like to add about the Aussies being good sports ,just like Saints fans in my view win or lose they are fantastic in their sportsman behaviour

One point I do agree is that Wardle's try wasnt over the line it was infact on the line dragged over by the Penrith player. You will make the playoffs maybe 3rd as I predicted last year.
I think it was on the line, and no amount of snapshots on social media will change my mind, or "very next angles showing it was short" when Penrith players had pushed him back. Whether there's an argument for the double movement , but even then I wouldn't say 100% it was as the wrestle from the Penrith players almost seemed to contribute to the ball sliding backwards onto the line.
The 1 on 1 ball steal was wrong, but so was the Field no penalty for the High tackle

What I find nauseating now is the comments that Peet is coming out with. I was a big supporter of him initially, a talented young English coach who spoke the truth.
However now it seems that only his players are mates with each other, only his club does community work, only Wigan players are in the trenches with each other. It’s as though no other SL club has a winning culture and it’s starting to grate.
It actually suits in a way as we are flying hugely under the radar. There was even a poster on here that said HKR will win a Grand Final before we do again.
I just hope we can make the play offs based on that.
Here's the thing, you're the one who's been crying and trying to get Wigan fans to buy into the fib that Saints pulled off the greatest sporting achievement known to man.
Like I said a few weeks ago, the lady doth protest too much, methinks. Add in the obviously salty attitude around our win and it's lovely.
World Champions again, 5* on the badge and a win Vs a far superior side to both Wigan and the one the self proclaimed "greatest sporting side in the history of the world" played last year.

I remember an Aussie ref ruling out a perfectly legitimate McGilvarry try for England in a world cup semi because it was the last minute and they would have got beaten.

Again.. why call out Saints fans for not being on here and then jump in mob handed to disagree?
Did you seriously think that I was going to come on and congratulate you like some of the other clubs fans have done?
I doubt anyone would’ve jumped up at Dodds DG last year and I fully understand that. Wigan want Saints to lose every game unless it benefits Wigan and vice versa.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. You can still respect the club, fan base, youth production etc at the same time. The 2 things aren’t mutually exclusive.

I said before the game I'd much rather have an Aussie ref, and I haven't changed my mind on that. Moore may well be the best English ref, but it puts him on the spot, to say the least.

I deliberately kept off as I knew emotions would be high and posters having had a few scoops.
The fact remains that the Wardle try was the biggest impact on the game. There is no way he got the ball over the line. Strangely just after Kendall said he’d viewed all available angles the next replay showed it was short.
Not sure how Moore can categorically give that as a try but not the May one at the end. FWIW I didn’t think that was a try either but it’s still strange that Moore gave one without the other. I’m not at all surprised that the Aussies are going mad.
I actually think this could be the end of the WCC as a concept. I’d be very surprised if their champions travel here again with an English ref.
You’ll all cite sour grapes but you can’t accuse Saints fans of not coming on and then just tear apart what they say.
And the poster that said any other SL would’ve conceded 50 against Penrith last night is laughable. Clearly forgotten about a certain team that won it in Australia without having played a SL game first.
I don’t understand the opinion that Wardle doesn’t get it to the line. He absolutely does but the question mark is if it’s a double movement or not to get it there. He drags it in towards him but the try happened right in front of us and the ref sent it up as a try because his view is initially blocked and he runs around the bodies and can then see it is on the line at that point. Hand on heart, I wouldn’t be happy if that was given against us but all this talk of him not getting it on the line at all is wrong.

You know - I might be wrong but I think there could be a touch of bitterness in this post...
'Quite why you are seeking my validation' - aren't you the same poster who came on here time after time complaining that Wigan fans weren't validating your win last year? And be honest now
The onus is not on Wigan or any rugby team to get refereeing decisions right. We got a fortunate call, every club get calls that go for you and some that go against you - that's the reality of our sport with it being officiated by human beings who are as fallible as the rest of us. As previously posted, the decision did not decide the game - there is no logic in simply removing 6 points from Wigan's FT score as the whole game plays out differently if the decision is different.

I think everyone on here begrudgingly congratulated saints last year.
Personally i couldnt care less whether our far superior victory gets the approval of any fan. We are the greatest RL side in history and that is a fact
