Leeds have signed Delaney to replace Smith and Eastwood to replace Ellis. Thereby strenthening certain areas. St Helens have replaced the ageing gilmour with the spritely Soliola and have also signed Fozzard on a 1 year deal as a stop gap for the nailed on signing of Luke Bailey at the end of 2010 (hes already told Saints he signing them).
All the other randoms in SL just have a merry go round of playing staff that dont really improve their team with the exception of Hull FC who, for once, have recruited well.
Its not my fault you are as thick as pig $hit and didnt understand my post is it. If Wigan feel that the players available to them, arent as good as what they already have, then why should they sign anyone. Just go with what they already have until better players become available.
How did Warrington manage to win the challenge cup with all the new players they have brought in over the last couple of years.

because you've underachieved for years anyway, and finally got a top class coach, but yet still underachieved in the league.

If this is the situation we are in then IL is presumably attempting to get the club in profit eventually but in the meantime he needs to speculate to accumulate IMO.
Subsidizing the wage of a top class player while he works towards profitability for the club are not incompatible things to be doing.
IMO if he does not do this he will find it a harder and slower process to get the club profitable.

Fully agree. I would hope however that if we are under the cap, it is because during next season he is hoping to pull off another signing ala Gleeson, hopefully a naughty person prop forward in the Pongia mould.

Watching the NRL semi final what i'd give for us to beat Wire to the signature of Moi Moi or somehow tempt Ben Hannant over!
Outstanding forwards who are as tough as they come.
Moi Moi's first spell was 30 mins aswell so he's no pudding.

Wire will always beat us to the signings of top players. when there chairman is willing to use other means to pay wages and ours doesnt seem to want and spend the full cap amount.

Thats how i see it and i hope i'm so wrong
I think thats how the majority see it.
If Wire could beat us to the signature of Moi Moi after the players they've already signed then something abit dodgy is obvioulsy going on but like i've said before I have no problem with that. If they have the cash why shouldn't they be able to aim high and spend it.
We just don't look prepared to get in any sort of bidding war for players but when your after the best(which is what Lenagan said we're after) theres always going to be interest from a few clubs.
