I think Brad O'neil came of age last night, never took a backward step. Ellis my MOM absolutely awesome. Marshy, what he went through this last few weeks to play like that very very impressive.
Wardle try-it was good Their disallowed try -the right call. Penrith had their chances but couldnt get over with defences like what the excellent Field pulled off. Wigan without a doubt deserved that win,but to read the comments from some salty fans you would think it was all against the Panthers some decisions went for us some went for them, the six again the head high tackle on Field, they did forward passes as we did but we where better on the day and I really enjoyed the day. Well done Wigan, well done Peet-won everything since in charge. As pointed out before it felt like the 80s/90s over again with Simply The Best/We Are The Champions at the end.
It must be hurting for the Saints fans at the min.

Really not sure why anyone would think a Saints fan would’ve been on here last night.
I deliberately kept off as I knew emotions would be high and posters having had a few scoops.
The fact remains that the Wardle try was the biggest impact on the game. There is no way he got the ball over the line. Strangely just after Kendall said he’d viewed all available angles the next replay showed it was short.
Not sure how Moore can categorically give that as a try but not the May one at the end. FWIW I didn’t think that was a try either but it’s still strange that Moore gave one without the other. I’m not at all surprised that the Aussies are going mad.
I actually think this could be the end of the WCC as a concept. I’d be very surprised if their champions travel here again with an English ref.
You’ll all cite sour grapes but you can’t accuse Saints fans of not coming on and then just tear apart what they say.
And the poster that said any other SL would’ve conceded 50 against Penrith last night is laughable. Clearly forgotten about a certain team that won it in Australia without having played a SL game first.

What you should have said is "well done", or even a "well stuck at". Instead you've peddled the same BS that's floating around on Twitter and still want to keep talking about last year.
I'll always stick by my comments - your win last year was good and something to be proud of. This year was harder. I don't expect you to agree, but to not even say well played is laughable.

Absolute bollox. You’re the worst one arrogantly and patronisingly comparing our win to Buster Douglas. One of the worst analogies I’ve ever heard.
We didn’t do it at home with 25,000 fans behind us and a ref who got it wrong. Let’s not forget his incorrect ball steal call when he forgot what the rules were as Penrith were pressing. It was an incompetent display by both him and Kendall.

Try going to Brisbane with no pack and winning the game hands down, then you can come on here lauding about Saints win, a win that Penrith admitted that they never took seriously. Now go and toddle off back to Redvee. I’m loving the fact that Saints fans are almost crying, I’m loving the fact that in the space of six months we’ve taken both the grand final and world club trophies from you. Did I mention that I’m loving it
1998,2010,2013,2016,2018 & 2023.....I was there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The people who will decide if the WCC goes anywhere will be the administrators and sponsors. 24,000 in a sold out DW, the week’s build up, a sell out weeks ago and some talking points from the game yesterday make it something more likely than not to happen again. It’s interesting that all this ‘it’ll never happen again’ line is coming from fans of clubs who’ll never have a chance of seeing their own team play in one and a few Saints fans who want to bring it back to 2023 as a comparison. Last night happened, that’s 5 for us now and I won’t really let fans of other clubs go unchallenged peddling the nonsense about the WCC being at risk.
