Worst performance in a long time tonight. Not enough enthusiasm. Poor defence. Very clunky in attack all to predictable and slowly executed. It's the worst we've played all year but if I'm honest I don't think we've got near top gear this season. We need a lot of improvement in terms of creating breaks and chances.
As mentioned already Keighran and Farrell each had a bad night. I thought Leeming's distribution was slow and meant we were under pressure once the halves or forwards got the ball from him.

Poor across the board, some awful defensive efforts especially in the first half. Mentally we didn't seem switched on at all, some very bad decision making and pass selection(or non-selection at times) and way too much one out rugby. Even some of our most experienced players made some bad calls at times.
Attack wise we have not been great in recent games but our defense has always been good but tonight that was sadly lacking, quite a few players need a severe kick up the backside in training before the next game as some of the efforts were unacceptable in a top team.Too may lazy tackles and lack of concentration.
I posted a big post about tonight but my battery went before posting and I can’t be arsed writing again. In a summary a bad performance and we couldn’t deal with the offloads, not a massive worry but our attack was pretty poor again. Better tonight than in 3 weeks time, big 3 weeks coming up and I think it will be a big kick up the booty (hopefully). On a brighter note I thought Field looked his most threatening tonight and Nsemba was a handful again, no need to panic but it’s obvious we aren’t going to stroll to a top 2 place this season, we have plenty to work on.

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong first half. we never did one thing of note.
Second half I thought was much better and Field was looking really dangerous for the first time this season. Nsemba is a handful ball in hand also but him and Keighran defending the same side was worrying but surely the more they play together the better they will become.
Big reaction needed now and if we don't turn this around for the semi finall we may need to have a little rethink going forward.
Faz had his worst game in a Wigan shirt and you would expect him to bounce back next week. Already looking forward to next week and how we respond

I think you are being tough on Nsembe and Keighran, collectively we were poor defensively. Another big issue for me is that our forwards didn’t want to do the tough stuff. Also, tactically we were very inept. Plenty to fix up but it can be easily done. The best team won the battle but not the war.

I can’t disagree with what you have posted. If we are going to wrestle in the tackle then we need to clamp the ball. I was bitterly disappointed with our middle unit tonight they didn’t want to do the hard stuff and our line speed was sadly lacking. What really irked me though was our effort levels, HKR out enthused us and there is no excuse for that. It was good to see Havard back, Byrne will return next week and Walters the week after and I am sure come the semi final we will see a different Wigan outfit.
Leeming ignores Field + French outside him. Marshall passes behind Farrell. Thompson knocks on over the line Different game then + we were still poor. Leeming took over from Powell with slow stand up + move before you pass from dummy half role!!! Too slow
Every fanbase has their idiots but I do cringe at some of the spoiled brats amongst Wiganers when we have a setback. Look for a Twitter user called 'Danny Bailey' who claims tonight he has never rated Matt Peet adding to several previous posts demanding he gets the sack (to top it off his last post was his retweet of Wigan's WCC win). There's some thick you know whats about.
