I really wish our coach would come and back Ainscough up "bring it on" or "he can handle any pressure" but he has already come out and criticised Ainscough after that four try defeat so he would be contradicting himself.
I would have been/will be shocked if Ainscough didn't get a lot of kicks his way anyway. He is an easy target, he's young, not that tall and has made a few errors previously under high kicks so to me it seems an obvious thing to do. Hardly requires any deep thinking into it really so I'm not that concerned.
We should target Meli all day long. Richards v Meli he has no chance.
It surely won't take rocket scienece for a superleague coach and ex international and grand final winning coach to come up with a plan of protecting Ainscough abit more!
I'd basically just swap him and his centre around on the last play if it's coming down his side and tell Ainscough to get in a position where he can sweep up any lose ball if anybody loses/parries it.
Theres other things they could do if needs be.
