I can't work out whether people are seething/sulking and won't admit it, or whether people have forgotten our "home game" 20 miles away in Widnes, or whether it genuinely doesn't bother people.
But just as rugby players don't sulk, and 'true fans' don't criticise, some of us feel strongly about certain issues, and we shouldn't feel afraid to say so. Sorry if that doesn't fit in, here, but hey. It's a free country.
Personally it doesnt change the fact my dislike for Dave Whelan, unfortunately once again there is NOTHING we can do about it, unless you know someone who can slip him some cash to change his mind. The final straw with Whelan was the Widnes/Play off game last year, he showed his true colours towards the rugby.

Care to copy and paste my post that suggests I'm not bothered?

He's no mug whelan, i would'nt be surprised if in the next few weeks he buys JJB fitness back and renames them DW fitness. Everything he does has money at the root of it.
I do feel for your club though, its a bit of a kick in the teeth of the fans

Correct. And thats why some of us object. I wouldn't say it's a kick in the teeth as such. Maybe its his way of saying sorry - you know "This is MY stadium for the use of the town's teams" - but it's having the opposite effect for me.
For the record though, as a one off, the Widnes thing didn't bother me too much, though I appreciate saying that is a bit like being in Afghanistan and slagging off Mohammed.

Agreed
I can honestly say i dont give a flyer about this..us having a good team and a healthy club is more important than the name of the stadium

I know St Helens is several years behind everywhere else, but...
