Agreed. I always try to stay to the bitter end, but it's difficult, if not illogical, applauding such rubbish as we were served yesterday.
Last season, the players reacted to having been booed against Huddersfield by giving us fans the cold shoulder treatment at the end of the next home game. I think the very least they must expect is the same thing in return when they let us down equally badly.

I didn't go on Sunday - living in London means i can never get to every game. But, i think i would have booed them off too. I've done it before and i'll probably do it again. I don't want to watch a team that just turns up to play the last 10mins of every match. I don't mind if we're being completely outplayed but being outenthused is a joke. I've seen us get smashed by Saints and Leeds and stayed to applaud them off because they obviously tried their hardest under difficult circumstances, but over the past couple of years, the players/coach have started to run out of excuses. Silveware or a final this year or else Npble should be shown the door...

EXACTLY! - The game was only 12-6, and fans leaving with twenty mintues left CLEARLY shows no faith in the side.... 6 points in it, 20 minutes left, surely, you have to agree that that is a sign of no faith in Wigan? There's no way you can disagree with that... especially you 'Charlie Seeling', you sound like an intelligent bloke, surely you can understand where I'm coming from there...

But I wanted to leave early so I left early. Is there a problem with this? I never intended to stay to the end, so it wouldn't matter if they'd been winning (or losing) by fifty. I don't see how or why people should be criticised for exercising their freedom of choice. Its not like a crime. Why let it irritate you?
For what its worth, the people who stay till the end don't irritate me.

To be honest, it's a nothing thread. Some go early, some don't. It's the same across the game. They're all still fans. It's the ones who sit in their armchairs at home rather than going in the first place who aren't genuine fans - and there are plenty of those, many of whom openly admit it, who regularly post on the boards of other clubs.

Right, your not even talking about the same thing - If you leave regardless of them winning or loosing then you clearly have nothing to do with this debate - If you'd read into what we are talking about, we're discussing why people leave & boo based on the teams performance - You leave regardless of this performance, therefore, it doesen't concern you - Hence the reason i didn't reply to your first post, because it was totally irrelevant - If you leave regardless, then that's your decision, maybe you want to beat traffic? I don't know - But what I'm stressing, is why people boo and leave based on Wigan playing bad, nothing else.

When your loyal, it means your faithful, you devote yourself - Yesterday, I saw people with '18 Loyal' on their back, leaving 20minutes before the game ended - That aint loyal...Yeah, your right, you pay for your ticket & that gives you the right to do whatever you like, simple as - But don't call yourself a Wigan fan, because your not - Like i said, a fan is someone who sticks by their side, through the good times/bad times - Gives them a chance - Stays till the end to clap their team off...

What annoys me is seeing at least 2 so called proffesional rugby league players who look as though their pr season has consisted of eating pies. The two i mean are riddel & smith, both might turn out to have outstanding seasons(i hope) but at moment both look unfit and carrying a fair bit off weight.
