Looks like the kind of lunatic that will end up in super league.
Arana Taumata
Just sacked by Melbourne Storm for fighting (his 4th sacking in 3 years)
Previously with Brisbane Broncos, Sydney Roosters, Canterbury Bulldogs.
He's a tallented player with lightning pace, has a great step, good kickin game and is deceptively strong. His support play has had him compared with Terry Lamb (the best support player I've ever seen).
At 19 years old he obviously has some growing up and maturing to do!
Some of the best coaches in the RL world (Bennett, Ballamy, Folks, Stuart) have rated his talent but have been unable to calm him down off the field.
At just 19 years old he has time on his side and with the right coach he could become a superstar.
Before passing coment I suggest you Google his name or check out a video site to see him play.

Simply put: Taumata is an athlete. He possesses tremendous physical attributes for such a young age. A classy five-eighth, Taumata is expected to put pressure on Craig Bellamy to give him a shot at No.6, in a move that could see Greg Inglis return to the centres.

Depending on injuries and how we play, maybe Nobby will look at this guy for a mid-season signing. I dont know alot about him, but a player with this sort of track record is not the sort you want in your team, but he is young and has alot to learn.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
I'll bet this guy isn't one of those IL is referring to.
At this stage it might well be a British player.
The only way an overseas player may come here is if, say, Phelps or another overseas player went out on a season's loan.
Sunday Phelps played like he was playing for his place.
Odds on too that the player is a prop.

Father Ted wrote:Whether Noble stays or goes when his contract expires Jones could not come in as first team coach. He's no experience in League and would be laughed out of the dressing room. If he is to be Wigan bound then the "player performance director" succeeding Joe Lydon seems the most obvious job. Also the PPD title would seem to be a euphemism for "Union Scout". Really got my doubts about this one but if it takes place then the club will be broadening its scouting beyond Rugby League territory.
I agree.
It would be a disgrace to see BN sacked for an un-experienced (in RL) RU coach. Bring him in as a coach working with BN by all means but I would be very annoyed if he were to be the head coach.

At least thats my understanding of how things went.
