Pulled victory out of the jaws of defeat, boy do we make things hard for ourselves - decent goal kicking and that would have been less pressure at the end, we massively need to cut out the stupid mistakes and penalties and play heads up more.
Fair play to Farrell he hasn't been anywhere near his best recenlty but steeped it up tonight, Ellis was good and I thought Shorrocks was decent as well,as was Marshall. French was just what he is...
We are doing ti tough with the pack - the lack of props is hurting us biig style - we need to move the ball around more, we have good backs we need to utilise them better.

Rubbish, we beat a good team away with a depleted side, we may have deserved to lose but we took our chances tonight like we haven’t all season.

Shorrocks I thought was up and down for most of the game but where he is incredible is in the effort areas and his fitness is second to none. He came in to his own in the latter stages.
Two points and Bevan magic, we are lucky to watch him in our shirt. Smith’s kicking is done, let someone else have a go and sort out Smithies pathetic discipline.
Wonderful finish and the resilience is never in doubt. Miski and Faz great and French is just sensational.
But I didn't like that performance at all. Awful completion rate, horribly inconsistent and poor fundamentals.
Smith is struggling badly. Don't want to criticise too much as he's clearly a confidence player and he has none at the moment. The video review will be rough for him.
We can’t forget we are missing 2 senior and our best young prop, 2 second rows and a half. We played 3rd in the league who were not far off full strength.
Overall they were better but we took our chances well and played some good stuff. I can’t not enjoy a finish like that!
My only real negative is Smithies. That penalty was stupid and could easily of cost us the game.

Can never quite work out if bad nights for Smith are down to confidence or concentration. I’d guess at the latter because he was absolutely fine last week (leaving the goal kicking nightmare aside) when it was knock out rugby.

Smiths kicking has been poor this year but who else is there? He kicked well last year, I’d rather we stuck with him and hope he gets his eye in than go with someone else, each kick he missed was pretty close and all from out wide.
That was absolutely first class entertainment, no complaints. Some great tries, big hits and an extraordinary finish. Up against a very good side and a partisan crowd with several bodies missing we showed a ton of character and adventure. Yes, there was lots we could have done better but we've not come to Hull KR and had a field day very often even when the gulf between the sides on paper was much greater than that. Games like that are why I watch RL and follow Wigan, so I'm not going to criticise tonight.
PS Sky commentary was hilarious, after the pre-match build up where they almost convinced me Hull KR were the '82 Kangaroos, they all sounded almost tearful when we scored first and throughout the rest of the match, I imagine even Radio Humberside's coverage would have been less one-sided.
PPS Harry Smith is a fine young player but I would like to see us find room for a top class goal-kicker
