We are in serious trouble here. No Captain (O'loughlin please note), no go forward, and no backline flair. I have been watching this club for 35+ years but I can't for the life of me remember such an inept, can't be bothered home performance as tonight, or for that matter the games against Wakefield and Castleford.
Thank God we have 3 years without relegation to sort this out but even then, without tough decsions being made from the top it may be too late.
Spineless. Gutless. Inept.
You didn't see the Huddersfield game last season or the HKR game or the Milward fiascoes then.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I saw them all. Forget the Millward season, that was a joke because of him. The Huddersfield and Hull KR games you mention, fair enough, but my point is - where have we gone from there? I can't for the life of me see what this current shower can offer to turn things round.
35 years but I came away tonight asking why I bother. First time ever.

So now you're retracting the first post?
I've seen far worse performances than tonights.
I'm disappointed with the result yes, not the effort. Had one or two decisions gone Wigans way they would have won the game, but I've watched Wigan for the best part of 60 years and we have always struggled against teams who "spot".
Let's give Huddersfield some credit, they came with a very basic game plan. They were far less adventurous than Wigan, but defended well, played the referee, and were deserved victors, but not by that margin.

A good win tonight would have secured a sell out v Stains, now we'll struggle to sell 20K.
Iwas thinking that myself on my way home from the game last nite that we will do well to sell 20k just out of the 16000 have been sold have gone to the men from st helens.
