im wigan through and through , i would bleed cherry and white if you cut me ...but im finding it so hard to watch the team at the minute

.
i used to look forward to a few beers with my mates on a friday night at the home games , and whatever away games came up , but i found myself questioning the reason why i went tonight
i sat there watching a few people getting behind the team when it looked like a comeback was on the cards, but lets be honest , if we had won tonight , it would just be papering over the cracks
slow/lazy in defence , flat in attack , what chance do we have when this is churned out every week ??
we are a shambles at the minute
the play is so predictable , i told a mate the minute feka would leave the pitch in the first half , yes , the 35th minute .
why take of our only forward that is making yards with 5 to go in the first 40 ?
if i can predict stuff like that , not a full time paid professional , is it any wonder we are seeing what we are ?
opposition teams can set up for things like this , they know what to expect
we need a change at the top , noble has done the job he was brought in to do , but now we need something different
thank you brian for saving us , but relegation isnt a threat anymore , im not sure is a good thing this year !
when they thought they could go down it was a bit of motivation !
im tired of the style of play , we look clueless , not a move in us , lazy slow defence and flat attacks
when we get near the try line its normally a cross kick to the corner ......
we are wigan rugby league , we should be better than desperate tactics like that
please ian lenegan , take note
As an outsider looking in.... please allow me to pass my opinion on all this as I know what it's like to follow a team who upset you week in week out.
Because you are Wigan doesn't mean that you can't have a bad run... it doesn't mean you are going to be successful year in year out. Try 30 years of struggle and then you may have a right to feel down about things. The last few years haven't been great for your club, but I'd swap that for our recent history. Is it perhaps that because of the successes of the past that makes it harder to cope with what is happening now ?
I don't buy all the salary cap rubbish that people throw around... I hated playing Wigan during the 80s and 90s.... but when I look back I can safely say that they were a joy to watch... It was rugby league how rugby league should be.... and for that alone you should all be proud to be fans of your club... and be more determined to stick by the club through the hard times.
Just going back to the point about taking Feka off the field.... How long had he been on the park ? One of the worst times to concede would be just before half time.... he may have been good going forward... but how was he performing in defence at that time. Was he slower off the mark... were the quicker players for Castleford targeting him ? There are much more factors that need to be considered for taking a player from the field than just his forward game.
Stick with it... it'll come.... there aren't many coaches going spare at the moment.
