Is it teams who have appeared in a MAJOR final since Wigan have?
Bradford haven't been in the cup final since but have been in a couple of grand finals.
Wigan were last in a final in 2004 at Cardiff, Mike Gregory was coach, the major finals have been held in London, Cardiff and Manchester. Not sure of the "5" clue mind.

5 years since we were last in one.
5 years since a major final
7 years since a trophy
11 years since being champions

Its a good job most don't expect us to win everything anymore.
Oh I know.
I find myself hanging on to 2002 and doing my best to remember every detail but they're slowly fading away! The fact that our last championship was 11 years ago is frightening.

That's stretching it though. We reached finals and won competitions. 70 RLCC we would have won if Cas had not cheated, 71 championship Final we got cheated by one of the worst refereeing decisions I have ever seen. We may as well have been playing American football, the saints player was that far offside. Plenty of Lancs cup finals. we won the JPS Final in 82/3.

It's not stretching it at all. We didn't win the Challenge Cup or league during that period, got relegated and were for the most part utter bilge. Three (plenty?) Lancashire Cups which were basically a season's warm up tournament were no consolation. When we won the JPS it was like winning the World Cup, we had been that starved of success.
