The above named in the original post all hail from Whitehaven & Workington there are many more great Cumbrian names (or Lancashire as they were at the time) that come from Barrow to add to that list (and a few who played for Wigan too).

The main problem trying to form a cubrian side is the rivalry is massive, its like asking saints and wigan to merge, its not going to happen. Barrow have a good backer at the moment, and both barrow and whitehaven are performing on the pitch. If one did make it into superleague, as i think they should, they would have a good catchment area of talent to pick from.
