from what i understand the main two we got rid of were Wild and Robinson, also heard about attitude problems with aspinwall. Wild has gone on to become a cracking player, im not struck on robinson personnally but at the time he went we weren't altogether sure how he was going to turn out. point im making is at the time these players could have done a job for us. Griifin certainly thinks he is better than he is, walks around the gym like he owns the place and should be treated like royalty. and i wont mention in detail experiences a family member has had with him at her place of work. the guy is a nightmare and not someone we need.

Dont know anything about Wild, but its well known why Robinson went.
So your opinion of Griffin is based on a personal family situation, which is fair enough, but slants your views somewhat.

You could look at it like that, or you could say that this puts him in a better position than most to judge him.
Personally I don't rate Griffin, his stats are poor, and he isn't exactly going to set the world alight. For me Griffin is fine if you want someone to play behind a leader, however thats not what we want, we want a leader.

Griffin is a bit of a prat, but generally he is well liked by his fellow players, so i guess its what your perspective is, i do not mind a bit of arrogance as long as the lad can back it up, he has not over the last few years but certainly did for most of his Wakefield career.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

The Wakefield fans weren't his biggest admirers when he left saying he was a lazy git but i suppose thats the same with Coley and the Salford fans.
He's an aggressive prop and the side needs one tbh. Hopefully if he did come the chance to play for a big club would bring the best out of him.

There were a few incidents with the Wakefield fans that he responded to which is a good part of why they do not like him, he did also go off the boil when he knew he was leaving which did not help.

I think I'd be disappointed if Griffin was to be our only prop signing, but there seems to be a school of thought that he's been purchased along with an Aussie hardcase (though, like others on here, I have no information about who that may be).

dont get me wrong, i dont like his attitude, the way ive seen him treat people acting in a professional capacity on his behalf is appalling including a family member, but he'll not be the only one playing our great game that does this. I just agree with many posters on here that he is average and offers us nothing more than our current crop of players. Combining that with what i have witnessed with his attitude, its just my personal opinion of him. Is my judgement clouded of him, maybe but i will be the first to hold my hands up and say hes a good signing if he puts in the performances. But to be honest ive seen nothing at him at Hudds that suggests he will do this especially when you consider he is playing in a far superior pack to ours and still cant perform to that level. But at the moment is pie in the sky cos we dont know if its happening. Fingers crossed he'll be a Huddersfield player for some time to come
Ive honestly never seen anything in Griffin that makes me want him to be in a Wigan shirt. I could probably name 10 other non quota props who id have in the side before him.
