Florimo & Mark Bell were in the nineties (along with Doc Murray). I agree though, forgetful players.

Had he played for us, (the import who's religion wouldn't allow him to play on Sunday's) would have appeared in the list of worst of the decade. The announcement of his trial was the lowest of the low moment for me.

Harsh on Jordan James and Millard imo.
Then again harsh on many included. We shouldn't cite those who try their best, but are simply not good enough.
Our main vitriol should be directed at those who have the talent but seemingly can't be bothered.
i.e. Vaeiliki, Moran et al
I thought Jordan James was the best of the early 2006 signings, hence why I didn't put him in the team. He got his chance from the lower leagues and took it. Testament to the guy that he still plays SL.

FB Mathers RW Williams RC Brown LC Withers LW Wittle SO J.Coyle SH Moran P Fielden (after Mason effectively killed his carrear) H Riddell P McDonald SR Wilkes SR Hill LF Tickle (in his last season when everyone was slapping him around)
S Bibey S Millard S Hargreaves S Jonkers
Riddell may well turn it round but I can't even think of a highlight from him this season, at least Higham had the odd flash of class, he even did ok at international level.
Special mentions to Mathers, Withers, Moran, Fielden, Riddell, Tickle and Millard for having first team squad numbers at the time despite playing so badly and extra special mention to Fielden for getting into both my best and worst teams of the decade! I didn't want to put James, Botham and McAvoy in there because they all did an ok job in a terrrible team, especially James.

I still find it hard to believe that actually happened

I still have nightmares about the new signings for the 05 season - to replace legends O'Connor, Cassidy, Connolly etc - Vialeki, SeuSeu, Davico and Moran. We are just beginning to recover from such a disastorous policy.

It's sad though because they could have been good signings. Davico was just disastrously unlucky, Moran was a good player in one role that we tried to play in a totally different one (at which he was poor), Vaealiki was a silly gamble after the serious injury he'd sustained, and Seu Seu was just past it by the time he reached us. Just shows how risky the transfer market can be. Heck even Greg Florimo was a good player from all the evidence available, he was just poor for us.
