As much as this will probably fall on deaf ears, St Helens isn't in Liverpool ergo they're not scousers. St Helens just happens to be in Merseyside in the same way that Wigan happens to be in Greater Manchester and you don't have people calling Wiganers Mancs do you?

That is quality, I have wanted that one for ages but never knew the second part of the song.
The Carmont song, this one and that new Ancient and Loyal song would be quality if they got going.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

Much. Thank you. Being a scouser myself and a Wigan fan, I cannot abide the notion that those woolybacks are being called scousers. That, and I'm a stickler for correct geography.

I live in Haydock and went to school in St helens. My dad started to take me watching Wigan in 1979 hence I'm a Wigan fan.
i wrote the line about scousers because as a st helens lad, I know how much St Helens people hate being called scousers. it really winds em up! I'd leave at scousers to do their heads in more.
There is a place in wigan, right next to Robin Park, where legends such as Farrell, and Radlinski made their mark. the boardroom's full of trophy's, its time we won some more, All the other teams know what we mean when they hear the Wigan roar.....
