Agreed, his link play was excellent, a good attacking fullback performance.



FB would seem to be a position he enjoys alot more than wing/centre.

Excellant game fron Phelps, how tommy got man of the match ill never know his general kicking is absolute cack!!

A couple of kicks aside, for the most part today Tommy's kicking was excellent, much better than I have seen from him in recent weeks.



We almost threatened 40/20's!!

yeah but generally his kicking is crap it either gets kicked too hard or it goes straight to the full back etc never makes the receiver work hard to catch the ball

But we did for the most part today, thus we can do it, was no suprise it helped that we were dominant today. makes a helluva difference.

For an hour Leuluai's kicking was the best i've ever seen it but as Saints ground us down it went to pot.



I think we need to start giving Sam abit more responsibility in that department tbh. Everytime he does seem to get a go at the kicking it looks very good and he has good distance but it's too few and far between.

that pass phelpsy gave for shauns second was absolutely breathtaking! i thought he was very good in a position which he last played sometime last june (last game for canterbury)



thats why weve got phelpsy who can cover wing, full back, centre, stand off and hooker!

And a mile forward.

Thought he did well tonight, a couple of mistakes but on a positive he linked play much better than Richards does like someone said a mix of Pat's dependability and Phelps link play would be spot on . I think we get carried away with Pat at fullback hes solid and I think we have been glad to see him play at the back when the other option was Mathers.

If we are to move forward we need to find more in the middle of the park we lack creativity, Lulu needs to be at 9 as for Phelps being a waste of a quota spot we have a few I would put before him who are on better money and offer less in effort and achievement .

Our big problem tonight was our player on the biggest contract was our worse by some distance. Still think we could of won if KC had not played he was Stains best half back, prop and hooker tonight all rolled into one and is the best player in the SL era by some distance .

Not when TL was kicking. His long range kicking was poor.



As to Phelps, pleasantly surprised but for some reason with him I always think there is an error waiting to be made.
