I think Barrow will worry us. If they beat us imagine then facing Saints?
If the unrest in the camp is true what better way of getting Noble out than losing to Barrow?
We are only 8 games into a new season and hopes of a grand final place have gone, so the challenge cup is probably our only realistic chance of a trophy this season. If they blow that at Barrow it does'nt bare thinking about.
Even then i'm stretching the word realistic to it's limits

I dont think there is a hope in hell of winning the challenge cup with this current set up. Losing to Barrow could be a blessing in disguise.
Whatever happened to Billy McGinty's pineapple?

You could be right but if you look over the past three seasons, Hudds, Cats and Hull all made it to the final with very average squads not playing well in SL.
I know they all lost but it just goes to show it's the luck of the draw and a trip to Wembley would go down well ............ even if we did get beat. Althought you never know with a one off game.
Ever the optimist
Things must be bad i'm not depressed at all this morning.

There aint no bigger fan of Wigan than Mr Lenaghan and thats whats baffling as to why there isnt any drastic action being taken.
Weve been tactically woeful in every match bar the Bradford game, lets not kid ourselves here, the rugby's pi$$ boring, i was actually bored at the game last night for the first time ever...
Somehow though, im struggling to comprehend Mr Noble getting sacked, it seems it just aint gonna happen
A purple patch inspired on his home ground by man of the match WIGAN CAPTAIN Sean O’Loughlin produced three tries in an eight-minute spell just before half-time, and the GB Lions added two more after the break to maintain Smith’s 100 per cent record as Great Britain coach.

If that happens, Lenagan is going to have to put his hand in his pocket and find a new coach - a world class one at that. I'm not one for sacking coaches mid-season, especially with no relegation but he's actually coaching the side into a position where I'm really not that bothered if we lose anymore, I just shrug my shoulders and say "oh well". I couldn't make it over tonight because of work and I wasn't bothered - and anyone that knows me will tell you that's a bad sign.
That is not acceptable and looks very likely to happen
IL doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong though and Noble's job looks pretty much safe and I have that little confidence in him that I think Noble will get a contract extension as long as we make the 8
Get Noble out now, He obviously has no idea what to do with this team, or how to manage in the new super league. Come on comments like he thinks hudds should be investigated because they dont let teams get an roll on and play rugby just shows how stupid he really is. any manager should have watched tapes and seen hudds tactics and planned for them. Last night we looked like an amature slow, unfit side, there was no flow, no passing, no movement, no passion. We are playing for penalties, that for 1 winds me well up, we are playing like a bunch of footballers.
right rant over.................. for now
We DO NOT look like a well-coached team. Look how Saints attack opposition defences - use of the Dummer runner is superb - we are a long, long way away from how the top 2 play.
We haven't progressed at all under Noble - the way we are playing, we wil be lucky to get into the top 8.
We have a decent enough squad of players - but are poorly coached. If Mick Potter, McLennan or Nathan Brown were coaching us - would we be a better side?? Of course we would.
Lenagan needs to get rid now - with the hope of salvaging the season - he needs a top Aussie coach - and pay for him. We are the most famous club in the world and should not accept mediocrity.
However, I have no faith in IL - I am off to the bookies later to see what the odds are of Brian McDermott becoming the next Wigan coach. Lenagan knows him from Quins after all.
Enough is Enough with Nobby. Great bloke, but it isn't working.
The real question those wanting Noble out should be asking themselves is, off current form, why does anyone think IL will shell out the £££ for a top quality coach.
He will appoint a #2 from elsewhere who in real terms, won't do much at all except have his players picked for him.

IL will not sack Noble he wont pay up. i'm afraid were stuck with these performences, lack of spirit and togetherness shown by the players untill his contracts up
But please dont start thinking of the Murreys and ricky Stewarts of this world
It will be a in house appointment. In other words the cheapest option.
