As for newton that would be fantastic !!

Not to put a dampner on your mate's opinion, but two Aussie lads I know rate him quite highly. The very worst we can say about Carmont is that opinion is divided. Let's wait and see.

As for Newton - no thanks. Too expensive and, as previously said, we already have two hookers. Another prop? - I doubt it. In Feka, Fielden, Coley, Prescott and O'Carroll, we already have five (unless Feka goes down of course, in which case we'll have his salary to spend on another prop).

If things stay as they are with Feka, it would make sense to me to sign another three-quarter. I'm not for changing the team around needlessly, but if Goulding's not quite ready for a full season, then why not sign another centre and push Bailey into the second-row?

I'd be happy with an experinced utility type player that could maybe cover hooker and the halfback positions.

That would give the squad a good balance. Maybe Dunneman on a one year deal could be a goer.

i agree we will have to wait and see cos i dont know that much about him. still IMO dont think O'Carroll is big enought and never will be but dont get me wrong has got the heart for the job just not the size.

Would be interesting to see bailey move into second row his natural position like we did with pat move from centre to wing and shown us his true form was amazing till cashton decided to do one then we had to move him to FB. should be an interesting season anyway cant wait to see what noble does.

he cant be that bad if there own fans started a petition for the club to re-sign him. all you can do is give the lad a chance before writing him off

it happens EVERY time a player leaves the NRL to join superleague.

apparently there were some people over there who were saying that a certain mr Trent Barret was past his best when he came over here.

lets give the guy a chance i say

If this fella is good enough for Nobby, he's good enough for me.

He will be an even better signing if we have got him for little cash so leaving room for one more signing.

Utility back would be the best bet

Which, to me, puts a big question-mark against the reliability of the 'contacts' your brother made while he was over there.
