I did yeah, he played well. I think he’ll go well next year but Wellens will soon coach that flair out of him. He’ll be dropping off an inside pass and kicking to the corners in no time.
As for today it’s strange going to a game expecting a defeat but that’s the reality. As fast as we get players back we lose more. Bell and Sironen gone from last week and despite being named in the squad, Walmsley has supposedly pulled a quad so we are worse off than last week despite having Lomax and Matautia back.
I just want a good effort today, personally I’d try a couple more kids but he’s very risk averse Wellens so I can still see Davies in there who is a bang average player.

Leeds and Leigh are now snapping at their tails too as well.
Tough going for Leeds to overtake them I think. They need to win two games more than Saints to overtake them. Not impossible when two of their four are against London and Hull, but their other two are against us and Hull KR, so you'd probably say they have to win at least one of those to have a chance.
Leigh are a different kettle of fish though. They have tough fixtures too, but will probably finish today just the one point behind them and will have Saints to play on the last game of the season. Could be a knock out fixture just a week early!

Interesting that Saints fans are quoting the win/loss stats with and without French to prove we're a 'one man team'. Sky has just shown the win/loss for Saints with and without Morgan Knowles and it's 73% with and just 45% without! Apparently Saints are a one man team too! Who would have guessed that one man was Knowles though
