Mbye it seems was ill all week. now you can only assume they trained with at least one of their kids there (Roberts ?) all week then decided to bin him when Mbye put his hand up to play last minute. Starting with the spine that trained most of the week and having Mbye on the bench would've seemed the way to go but what do I know. Just happy we've come through what turned into a training session unscathed though I've no doubt Ellis will pick up a ban for being stood in the wrong place.

I still stick by Saints being a chance of winning the GF ‘if’ they can get most of their players fit for the last few weeks. That is looking a big if though, with them losing players most weeks, offsetting the retuning players.
On the plus side in all of this for them is the likes of Stephens and especially young Robertson! His footwork is freakish. He doesn’t look lightning quick but is quick enough. He’s going to be a cracking player.

If I was a Saints fan what would worry me most about yesterday is the performance of the pack, it is a long time since I have seen them play so poorly.

I can understand the issues with Saint's backline , but I thought their forwards would stand up better than they did. Absolutely no intensity. Granted Sironen was injured early but still - they even managed to make Bryne look impressive, and considering his recent form this year that's no mean feat - and Dupree seemed to have shaken off some dodgy form of the past few weeks.
Hopefully leaving Bryne on the sidelines for a while has ignited some fire in him.
Nsemba was a beast in defence when he lined anyone up - really aggressive shoulder in tackles, and not too shabby with his footwork either in attack.

I said months ago that they won't have most of their players fit. They still won't. It's a pipedream with an aging side and a coach determined to flog the rest.

Cant disagree. Sironen has been flogged into the ground and its no real surprise he's pulled up injured. Clark the same. Delaney the same. Probably not too long before Lees picks up something as well. It's obviously got an element of bad luck to it, but to a certain extent you make your own luck and the coaching has to take a massive portion of responsibility for the sheer amount of injuries we've been getting. Using minimal subs in very intense games, or games in intense heat etc. Asking forwards to play 80 mins a week. It's not a coincidence
Think its highly likely this season is done now. I can't see us finishing anywhere other than 6th, which likely sees us go away to Hull KR or Wire in the first round of the play offs and a loss. I'm dreading facing Hull KR this week, think we were very lucky you guys were under par yesterday and if we were playing HKR we'd have probably had 50 stuck on us
The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.

I still wouldn’t want to finish 3rd and play saints week 1 of the playoffs if they get bodies back.

Hope I'm wrong but after looking at the remaining fixtures I fear Wigan will finish 3rd - if we are to finish in the top 2 it may be that we need to win all five which feels tough. The Hull defeat is an annoying one which may come back to bite.
Who finishes 6th is anyone's guess. All of Saints, Catalans and Salford are vulnerable to Leigh now.

Warrington I thought were very impressive last night in the fact they soaked up loads of pressure and were ruthless at the other end of the field, the game felt like it should have been tight on the score board, if not Leeds edging it but the scoreboard was a rout. Hull KR are flying, we look the third most likely at this stage but we have been there and done that so I give us a good chance.
