Players look like they can’t even be bothered lifting it nowadays. All I want is for us to finish top 2. If the positions stay as they are now and Leeds are the lowest ranked team and continue their form, us finishing 2nd might be no bad thing.

I’m desperate for us to win it. It’s massively underestimated in terms of an achievement in my opinion. It’s the only thing Woolf hasn’t won at Saints so I want to win it for him and secondly from

a financial point of view it’s the most lucrative to win, more so than the CC or GF. The club gets more prize money and it’s not linked to player bonuses like the other two.



With the game on its a**e at the moment it’s a good prize to win.

Didn’t realise Woolf hadn’t won it. It’s a prize the chairmen I’m sure are desperate for but as fans and also from the players perspective, it’s so far away from winning the GF or the Cup it’s untrue. We won it in 2020 and it just doesn’t matter. I get zero comfort from that when I think back to losing the GF or in the cup. Say you guys win that but lose a Grand Final this year, I don’t think anybody at Saints will think it’s worth much then.

I said on here weeks ago that Leeds were the dark horses. Great team when at full strength.

I would chuck Salford into the mix aswell,playing very well at the min.

I may have a look nearer to the time, obviously it wouldn't be a big amount, can't see past Saints or Wigan. However a lot can change in terms of teams losing players. We lost Welsby and Lomax or Wigan lost Field and French and that gives another team a huge chance for example.

Leeds aren't immune to injuries. Smith, Thompson and Newman all left field in KR game, with the former 2 going to hospital and Newman with a hamstring problem.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the semi-final scheduling. If Saints finish top that means we should be playing our home SF on Friday 16th September however that would mean Wigan (if they finish 2nd) playing their home SF at 12:30 the next day. However that's not possible as Wigan Athletic are at home that day.



Saints will resist swapping (and rightly so) as the team finishing top should get the extra days rest (as per previously) so another option would be Wigan forced to play elsewhere.



Very interested to see what happens.

Bilko just confirmed the grand final winners have had a days less rest in each year since 2013 bar one, so it’s not the supposed hard luck story Saints fans are bulling up.



They’ll be moaning about injuries next…

As hard as it might be to not do it, painting Saints as the villains isn't right. This have every right to say no to moving their game to accommodate a football match.



Why should they move from a Friday 8pm slot, because Latics are at home. It's wrong and a backwards approach from Saints, Us or RL to move even an inch to accommodate it.
