It had crossed my mind tbh.
If the club has a stand out candidate to replace him from within the club or outside i expect we'll see Carmonts injuries rested far more then they were this season.

Regards Carmont it seems we have reached a compromise with him, i am sure the club would have wanted the second year option nto be totally in there favour. I seem to recall some pretty big name players coming off contract at the end of next season, and personally would like us to add some more strike power in the centre (if nobody from the club steps up, which i hope they will).
I like Carmont a lot and by no means am I gutted he is staying quite the opposite for next year, but i do worry that if he hits the required number of games we could be caught cold for the 2011 recruitment.

Aye I was, haven't been reading these rumour pages so didn't know Ryan Bailey was on the cards. I'd give Bailey another year because I don't want to see us get rid of 3 back rowers all in one go, it puts loads of pressure on Mossop and Farrell. Plus Bailey's a very handy player to have out there and has improved every season. He makes lots of tackles, organises the defence and from all accounts is a calming influence on game day. He even started offering us some attack this season. One more year will do just fine IMO

Fantastic news regarding Carmont and that is certainly the deal we all wanted. He one of the best players at the club and one of the best players in his position in Super League. He is everything I expect from an overseas signing.
Makes me wonder what the hold up is with Bailey though? I would have expected his contract to be (if it was going to be) renewed first after comments Shaun Wane made on the Radio and from what some posters have claimed on here.
Maybe Michael MaGuire doesn't see Bailey in his plans for next season?
Time will tell.

I thought Bailey has already re-signed? Or am I getting confused with rumours on here?
If he hasn't signed, for me it adds strength to the Ryan Bailey rumours - one out, one in, (or one Bailey out, one Bailey in - which ever you'd prefer )

Well nothing has been made official by the club. Shaun Wane mentioned that he thought Bailey had signed a new one year deal on the radio & a few others posters have mentioned a few weeks ago that he had signed but you have to ask, if he has been signed up, why not announce it with the Carmont contract? What's the hold up?
I hope that MaGuire might have found someone better than Phil Bailey.

Perhaps were scrimping some money together to afford Graham, now wouldn't that be nice.
Wigan vs Leeds finals aggregate score.
Wigan 178 - 64 Leeds
Wigan wins - 6 Leeds wins - 0
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.

Could be. Phil Bailey is certainly on a decent chunk. In fact I have even heard a rumour he was the highest paid at the club! Surely it must be Fielden?
Either way the delay in announcing Bailey's so called 'contract renewal' could certainly add more fuel to the fire to the Graham rumour.
