He was also a guest of the club for the SF too and he was at Utd on Sunday with Makinson, Percival and Welsby. He is big mates with Makinson.
I've said this before on here but I was told that if he does come back to SL it would be to Wigan however given the above things may now have changed somewhat.
Told by who? Both he and his Dad have always said the only club he would play for if he came back is St Helens.

Well put it one way the same contact that told me Fraysinnous was going to be our new Assistant when literally no other journalist or fan had mentioned him has told me about Thompson. Admittedly this was last season so maybe Thompson has made his peace with Saints because there was certainly no love lost when he left.
It’s come from the other forum. I’ve not heard anything but again it seems to be another rumour that keeps bubbling along.
yep, i'd posted on here to see if anyone had heard about Mago to Wakey (picked up from the rumour mill ont Warriors fans forum)
The rumours were Mago and Singleton moving on,so based on rumours looked like we could be 2 props down after looking like we were pretty stong in that area

To be replaced by Martin Taupau
All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.

I'd expect Wigan will be doing a bit more business before the season starts as we've now lost Partington, Nicholson, McDonnell and Bateman. Frizell is a top shout.
Ok, who do we replace him with? We have no room for non-federation players as things stand.
Bateman said in the England press conference that he wouldn’t speak about his club future until after the World Cup. If there was nothing in it, he could simply say that was the case. I notice he’s not been used on any of the kit/training kit/season ticket material for next season, so that would point to them at best, not being sure he’ll be here.

He has actually but I don't think that means anything either way - that would have been done a while back.

Not talking about it until after the WC means there's something to talk about. In other words, he's going.
It's frustrating that we never seem able to assemble a very strong team that is prepared to stick together for a few years to create a dynasty. But who knows, we might finish up with someone better.
From the source of the rumours and how persistent they’ve been along with people saying his house was up for sale I think it’s looking more likely that he’s going than staying, if he is going I wonder if the club have factored that in to our recruitment/retention or will we have money to replace him or strengthen other areas of the squad?
