I backed Wire totally in signing Atkins, Myler and Solomona when people were throwing lines about that they must be breaking the salary cap due to the fact that a couple of high earners in Johnson and Rauhihi were leaving but if they do sign Moi Moi even i'm starting to get abit baffled as to how they're doing it :?

Fair play to them for managaing to sign these players and if they're using loopholes and the likes it doesn't bother me.................i just wish we could do the same.

Moimoi to wire still on the cards.

So as well as having the best accountant on Earth, the Wolves have also got a man inside the High Commission in Canberra?

Given that Webb apparently can't get a visa because of a drink-driving offence incurred the morning AFTER his wedding night, I'd be stunned if someone like FFMM, who apparently has a much dirtier jacket, got anywhere near one.

What has Moi Moi actaully been convicted of?

I even heard mentions he's done abit of time.

As far as I know he wasn't convicted of anything. Wasn't it a woman who tried to blackmail him afetr making certain allegations against him?

TBF I think the same. I don’t like or respect wire but they deserve a massive thumbs up for what they are doing.

It’s about time a team in SL showed a set of balls and try to copy what we did during our pomp.

Wire are trying to create a quality team based on the best talent out there and I personally can’t see a problem with it!!!

If the rest of SL (us included) showed this sort of ambition SL would be a much better competition.

If Wire get Moimoi and he can get a visa too there will be a lot of pi$$ed off Wigan fans. The thought of Moimoi and a (hopefully slimmed down) Feka rotating for 80 minutes is a brilliant one :D

It would also beg the question of how they are keeping this all under the salary cap but fair play to them if they are

They've got the financial backing to be able to do it so why not.

It's interesting to look at Notts County in football at the moment. League 2 in football has a wage cap for a total squad what is way below what Sol Campbell is earning on his own but they also have a clause in that wage cap that states you can sign players outside of this cap if you can get somebody to pay their salaries as a gift(or something along those lines).

Rugby League at the minute would struggle to attract many big money owners because there is little point in having cash in rugby league. It's almost impossible to spend it outside of the odd transfer fee and even thats hard because you need to have the salary cap room to fit them in.

The old rules where you could spend a percentage of your turnover was surely better for the sport. It makes everybody work as hard as they possibly can to make their clubs grow so that they can compete. The sport rewards lazt clubs at the moment.
