Whelan knew exactly what he was doing. Sold the club out to anybody who would take it off his hands as soon as the parachute payments stopped. People are too blinkered to see this though. New owners unveiled soon anyway, wonder whom its going to be??????

Rugby fans forgetting the vitriol directed our way by Latics fans for the last 20 years just because there's a chance that our owner could end up owning them as well is embarrassing.

Vitriol directed either way these days is just very, very boring.

I don't "hate" them - I just don't care.
If they go bust.... meh.
If they survive... meh.
As long as Wigan Rugby is OK, that's fine for me.
As has been said before - If Latics were playing in my back garden, I'd probably close the curtains.

One good thing about history. You can always find a reason for treating people like dog-dirt if you go back far enough.
Seriously? The 1980s?
Personally I still think we owe the Normans one. And as for the Danes, bloody hell!
I wish people on both sides would just get over it.
I freely admit that I used to strongly dislike Wigan Athletic, but that was because of the constant threat to chuck us out of the DW. These days, now there's clearly no chance of that ever happening, I'm happy to let them get on with their stuff while we get on with ours.

I agree with you, but those Latics fans around in those days have never forgotten it. Anyone not around then has no real reason to hate the rugby other than "look at me I hate the rugby"
