We had 2 of our starting 13 playing yesterday so the outcome was pretty much nailed on especially on a plastic pitch. We get that luxury as we are 10 pts clear of second place Warrington. You are closer to London pts wise than us and if you think we would be as much a shambles as Wigan if we had a few forwards out your deluded.Come 2 weeks time you could easily be sitting in 7th place.Every time youve come up against the top 3 this season youve lost.

And how many were you missing the first time they beat you?

Take Makinson and Swift (Manfredi/Davies), Naquima (Sarginson), Grace (Burgess), Walmsley (Flower), Thompson (Clubb), Paulo (Greenwood), Taia (Faz) and Knowles (SOL) plus someone like say Amor (he can count for Hamlin, Tautai and Bullock) out of your side for the same number of games as we have missed those and there is a very strong chance you would be a "shambles" as well. The pack you put out at weekend is pretty much what we have played with all season.

Couple of injuries and they are no better than the rest of us. Have we even named an unchanged team at any point?

We’ve just thumped you 32-10, are 16 points ahead of you and your coach thinks Dan Sarginson is the best full back in the world. I’ll be delighted if it’s a Saints vs Wigan Grand Final because you’re absolutely appalling. The fact you sit behind Hull who we’ve put 102 points on says it all.

Enjoy it whilst you can (best win some trophies mind).

Sorry to disappoint but all 3 will be replaced and with the cap space that the retirement of Roby and potential departure of Thompson would free up, those replacements will likely be of high quality. Anyway, I’d be worrying about the state of your own squad. With the team you’ve got, combined with having Lam as coach I doubt you’ll be seeing any silverware for a long time.

You can have all the money in the world mate but as we all know there simply aren’t realistic replacements for Roby or Thompson knocking about because they’re that good. You simply aren’t going to be able to sign the likes Damien Cook, Josh Hodgson, Warra-Hargreaves, Sam Burgess etc and they’re the quality you’re talking to adequately replace those two. You’ll end up with the next Tommy Lee and Josh Perry. There’s also the small matter of replacing the coach, who is the most important man at your club and is solely responsible for your resurgence (even though it’s currently not yielded a proper trophy). I actually think he’ll stay for another couple of years so you better clean up (no pressure).

As for us, we’re rebuilding for sure but we’re edging back up the league this year and we keep unearthing top players from our academy. Our juniors are comfortably the best in the league and have been for well over a decade, so we won’t fall too far off the pace anytime soon. I’d say we’ll be in a pretty good position in a year or two to take advantage of the huge holes which will be left in your side.

The clock is ticking :D

Not to mention that Roby won't be taking up that much cap space due to his longevity, England elite etc etc similar to Lockers. So whilst you will have the money to replace him, you won't have the actual cap space.

I can see Roby going on until 37/38 personally - outstanding athlete.

Unlike you Nicky ,if those players leave we will replace them with a mixture of quality and youth .You let Bateman and Ratboy go and replaced them with Escare Sammut and a couple of kids. That because you are Skint.

You had 2 forwards in Hamlin and Tautai who you let go because of drinking offenses ,they werent injured. Its not saints fault your club has players that behave the way they do.
