Looks like we've signed ex Wigan youngster Matt Sarsfield, he was at Huddersfield last year but asked for a release apparently. I remember him being highly rated at Wigan.
Interesting to read in League Weekly that Burgess turned down Wigan to join his brothers at Souths - assume this means that Wane would like more strength in the pack for 2013.

Waney would like 17 props in his team each week but IFL keeps him in check!

I can believe that, when you look at strength in depth the wing is probably the weakest position right now. It's either Thornley or Gelling playing out of position or Burgess running out for a debut. Our third best winger is Darrell Goulding but it seems to be sacrilege to condone using him as back up even though we have two promising centres in the reserves

Wing is the most expendable position and easiest covered by other players. How many teams carry a spare winger as part of their 25 men squad?
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row

The days of the specialist winger are a distant memory.
Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

Well if you believe some of the stories knocking around on other forums Hock will be leaving us and signing for Wakefield, or another good one is 2 of our players have been done for taking performance enhancing drugs but we are keeping a lid on it and said players will be shipped off to the NRL and never play another game for Wigan.
So it appears not only are we bigger than the RFL we are also bigger than WADA.
It's a very slow off season this year!
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”
