If Owen Farrell comes in as rumoured then there's no space for one of the props to transition to 13. I'm sure players will go out on loan but it sounds like a huge number of players to accommodate going forwards (both on the field and on the salary cap).
I did ask on here last week if anyone had heard a rumour about Hill not being happy/leaving, I’d even heard someone say he was going Wire. We seem way over stocked at prop, would say even if we loan out Eseh and Hill with a view to replacing Cooper and Mago in 2025 we still look overstocked. We will certainly be able to take a few injuries in the pack and not be affected too much if none leave.
I read a few posts above the Eseh news and we can at least console ourselves with these new signings, as we’re currently playing a guy in Miski, who isn’t fit to lace Regan Crace’s boots and wouldn’t have scored more than 5 try’s all season at a lower table club.

I think this season has proven you can never have enough props…although we are getting there!
I’m sure Hill and Eseh will be fully aware of their respective development plans for them over the next year or two and the expectations placed on them to push for first team places and timings.
They are both 20 still absolute babies for Props and a year on loan whilst under the watch of our conditioning and coaching will do them the world of good should it happen.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Just had a look some off my fellow Saints fans are a embaresment
I particularly enjoyed the Peet vs. Wellens discussion.
Peet was our most successful academy coach ever winning 6 out of 7 grand finals and has worked his way all the way up through our system to get to the head coach role, proving himself and impressing his peers along the way. A very similar path to Wane who was also a very successful coach. That is 2 of our 3 coaches from the last 10 years who have come through the same pathways and have gone on to win multiple pieces of silverware at professional level. It's almost like there is a formula that is working at play here
But disregard all that because he never played at a professional level and Wellens did, it is like they learned nothing from Cunningham!
You can get by with makeshift centres/wingers as we have done in the past. You cannot get by with makeshift props.
Dupree Byrne Havard, Ellis, Mago and Thompson are the core props.
Cooper I don’t foresee getting many games and retiring after this season (is that harsh?). I’d imagine his experience will be good for the group.
Hill and Eseh are not ready for regular first team rugby. A loan move for both would be ideal.
Chan is the only one who looks a strange signing. I’ve never seen him play. He’s not in the Catalans team (was he injured?). 23 years old but we’ve given him a 3 year deal. I don’t see where he fits but who knows he could turn out to be the best of the lot.
