It could be that Marsh still qualifies at U20 level, whereas Pryce doesn't so it allows another squad player over 20 to play in the U20 side.

Cooper
Solomona

Not sure that team would be "struggling big time", I'd fancy it to beat the Wigan 17 named above. Certainly the three-quarter line offers considerably more threat and fire-power.

But the players you have chosen are nowhere near as vital to the Warrington team that the Wigan players currently injured are.
Sam T- best fullback (Hodgson)
Gleeson- first choice centre (King)
Richards- Best Winger- (Atkins or Monaghan, debateable which)
Finch- First choice half back (Briers)
Fielden- Best prop last season (Morley)
Take them out and yes, you would be "struggling big time".

:SLEEPY: There really should be some kind of ban on this, it's such a boring cop out. It goes without saying that we all think Mike Maguire has done a brilliant job so far, and I think this will turn out to be a smart move, but it would be a pretty boring forum if we didn't form our own opinions.

It's that obvious I think he needed to be told twice , although admittedly I didn't see your post

Jeff the God of Biscuits wrote:But if you look at the players missing for Wigan: 2 half backs [One being possibly the best player in the country], our [Arguably] best Prop. The Man of FN Steel. If you had say Briers & Monaghan, Morley & King out [What I would consider the corresponding players], would you still be confident of beating that Wigan 17? I think I know where my money would be.

but that wasn't what was said was it?

For your information the six missing for Warrington include 4 GB/England internationals, 1 New Zealand international and the club's leading try scorer last season.

Taking Briers and Monaghan out would still give Bridge and Myler at halves with Clarke at hooker, Carvell in for Morley and Atkins in for King. Nobody could seriously state that team would be "struggling big time" against the Wigan 17 named above.

Here you go then:

Riley
Evans
Bridge
Grix
J. Monaghan
Myler
Monaghan
Carvell
Clarke
Wood
Anderson
Westwood
Harrison

Higham
Cooper
McCarthy
Solomona

I do not think that team would be "struggling big time" either.

Depends what you define as struggling. For me a club as big as Wire now would be struggling anything in getting beaten by all the top 6/7 clubs. I do think that side would get beaten by Wigan(even with those key players out), Saints, Leeds, Hudds, Hull FC, Hull KR.

The injury to Hansen is a shame as his game has come on leaps and bounds and I thought he looked sharp at Salford but as people have said the area is that strong it's not a huge issue.

It will open up more opportunites for Farrell, Mossop and Tuson and thats no bad thing.

Why is it a cop out ?, I trust his judgement on this decision, he see's Pryce and Marsh not just on match days, but on a regular basis, my opinion is that it is the correct move, that ok by you ?
