Treat each match like a Challenge Cup Final.

Once that's done move on.

The players should do that! But we are fans, is it unreasonable to want to win a certain number of games hoping we can be near the top of the table after 8 games.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

As fans we should be wanting to win 100% of games all season, I certainly do, which would put us top of the league. Never yet have I gone into a ground wanting to lose, but picking the correct accumulation of winning results is entertaining but there's nowt in it! Following Wigan under the last crew these last few years has meant to expect the unexpected, i.e. Lose to the Celtic's but beat the Leeds's. However under Maguire no one has seen the team take to the field, or which players he prefers (remember everyone gets a chance). How can we predict on that?

I think you have missed the point, it is merely a thread to predict where we think we should pick up points. Everything you say goes deeper than that and is discussed on other threads.

I am sure McGuire and Wane are not a coaching partnership that will ever think we can win 6 of 9 or that we'll beat them at home but not away etc.

We CAN win every game and if the coaches can get the players to really believe that, then we can win every game then that self-belief will start to show on the pitch.

Your getting the hang of it.

Off topic, but I love you avatar, is it being made into a flag?

I'm hoping it will one day. As a group we have already contributed to a flag this season.

I never like looking at the next 6, 8, 10 games or whatever and trying to predict results.

Just focus on the next game and try and win it.
