the point is that if Pryce and a coach clicked, then he has the potential to blow away most players in the league and become one of the best players in the league, he has the talent and the ability to be able to do that but its just not happened so far.

If it doesn't happen this season with Maguire and Wane then i'm sure they will get rid, but just to see what happens with him under a new regime, [what was supposed to be] a full preseason surely it was worth keeping him on what is probably a small wage.

And for what its worth, I really don't think he's been that bad in the games that he has played, I thought he got a lot of unnecessary stick, especially the match that was on tv [can't recall who it was against] when he played, where I thought he looked a threat everytime with ball in hand and was one of our more dangerous players.

What Pryce has over most other players is potential, his ability at Academy level was freakish and so it was for Bradford at first grade level.

A GB call up and a big money union move proves the lad can play as does over a try a start as a 19 year old.

In the present there are issues and problems, but his future is in his hands.

In my opinion Goulding will never be able to command a starting place in a SL winning team, Pryce could do and for that reason should be given a chance.

He is also in my opinion our first reserve centre, and any news of injury is a bad one.

Hope he comes back and makes a few people eat there words although this setback if true is a big one at this stage of the pre season, but we should now be entering the time of year when the emphasis shifts from Stamina (one of his weakness') to strenght and power (his undoubted strength), he should be able to maintain significant levels of fitness with an upper body injury, so while it is bad news it could be much worse.

Personally i still back him to come good, and very much hope he does take a starting shirt in 2011.

There is no doubting his potential ability and if we ever get him firing on all cylinders he will be a star player for us, but from what Ive seen he doesn't have the drive and passion to play for us. I hope the new coaching set up can get the best out of him.

Getting rid of Pryce now, if such a thing was even possible, would serve no purpose whatsoever. It would weaken the squad at a time when the competition for places is supposedly paying big dividends.

A kneejerk reaction like this - to something as innocent as a freak injury - is the one thing Wigan don't need.

The problem is Cruncher, it's been decided that Pryce is not only a poor player but a worthless peace of crap or words to that effect, all from 5 starts and 2 subs in the first team, during which he played 2 positions on our weakest attacking side, still scored 3 tries that must have been walk ins (unlike anybody elses, e.g. our young messiah winger) none of which are actually remembered. Yes it can clearly be decided he's no heart and is crap and should be in the worst team of the decade, and the 20 trys in 15 games in the reserves doesn't count as it's the reserves, but it's a sufficient competition to judge giving other players a crack at the first team.
