But it wasn't Wigan playing 'dreadful' and losing possesion on every set. Celtic earned the victory by setting out clever tactics against a superior team.
Fair do's

Who's to blame for that?

No matter how long they hold us down, no matter how much pressure they put on our halfbacks, if their coach is the referee and they're playing with a gale behind them and going down brew on a 1 in 5 gradient, we should not be losing to them.
Like I said on another thread, I've never really set my stall out on either side of the fence regarding Noble but I'm now starting to side with Jonh and DaveO. Noble is directly responsible for the way we play, the tactics we employ, the enthusiasm we have. It's his job to lift the team and he's not doing it.
Comparing us to Huddersfield there's probably only Hodgson (The fullback not the winger) who I'd definitely have in the Wigan team compared to there opposite number but they're 4th in the league, without a standoff. Who is that down to? They're probably a worse team on paper than they were last season yet they're now 4th. That's down to the coaching. Huddersfield, more than any team in SL, show what a difference a quality coach can make.
That is exactly how I feel. Before the game on Saturday me and my dad were all for giving Noble till the end of season, based on what he could do in certain games especially v Saints.
But after the result on Saturday we soon resided to the fact that it is time for Noble to go, time for a change, time for something different.
One of the things that annoys me is Noble pathetic excuses after the game. One he used on Saturday and used several times before is that we cant take these teams for granted and just assume 2 points are in the bag.
Surely this is the job of the coach to drill it in to the players heads not to take Celtic lightly, and to play at 100% like we did v Saints. Its not much to ask and it baffles me as to what they actually do in training each week

I have red several different opinions on the game and based on those Roberts was poor and for the 2nd week running was directly responsible for a try against us. Opinions on Riddell are at best divided (one good run was what I read elsewhere).
Doesn't matter because it isn't just one game is it? Time to realise some of our players are failing to deliver.
Dave
I didn't need to guess who would be the 1st to try & get at Riddell/Roberts etc either DaveO

Oh and BTW! One good run I read somewhere is a selective Paraphrasing to say the least!
I have only looked this evening and found 3 or 4 claiming that Riddell going off & McCollorum coming on actually changed the game against us, a bit like last week if you ask me!
He was Very Good last week and Pretty good again this week, McCollorum on the hand was Poor last week and poor this week.
Does that not fit in with the agenda???
As for Roberts, I don't feel he was Singularly responsible for any of the tries yesterday, I was slightly disappointed he didn't hang on to the centre who made the break but coming 15 yards in off your wing whilst your 6 stands there and makes "No Effort" is far from being responsible for the try!
PS
As for McCollorum & Ainscough I don't get into "Bagging" them as I don't believe it's in anyones interest to do so (I think if you checkl any of my posts you will not find any Critical comments about either) just that I don't believe they are as good ATM as Riddell and Roberts.

Refering to the point the bottom for a good reason is unfair
they played well against leeds,saint
then went on to pick up a hell on a injury list yesterday im told aprt from 1 player that is the CC first choice squad and if they dont pick up anymore injuries i think it wont be the only 2 games they win
and before anyone has a go im a union guy who has watched them most home games and to be fair when they had 70% first team players out injuiered they where crap what now the almost back to full strength they can only get better

Same here. Spot on really, if anything I was more pro Noble than anything. Over three years, everything has changed, except Noble, we have new owners and new players, yet the same inconsistancy and lack of passion agianst so called lower clubs. Noble is the constant in all of that.
