Exactly.

It isn't calling the lad just for the sake of it but it's a little flaw he has in his game that he needs to fix up.

If he does then WOW! He's going to be some player because even at the minute he's easily outscoring any mistakes he may make. If he cut them out then what a player we have.

Im really happy for Smithy he hasn’t had an easy time so far at Wigan being out played by Sam and put back In the reserved but he has responded brilliantly and been professional about it by improved his game, he is obviously a really good talent. Keep it up Tim.

It would seem Noble dropping Smith has done him the world of good. He has come back in and is playing to our pattern and shining. Credit to both coach and player.

His first half performance was a joy to watch. The passes for the first two tries were world class.

I would say we are very niave if we do not expect him to be targeted. We need to protect him much more than we are at the moment in my opinion.

Kicks on the floor he has no excuse for dealing with but under the high ball we need to give him more protection as it is something that no matter how hard he tries he is going to struggle on, i would personally suggest on last tackle plays in our "danger zone" he drops swaps place with the centre.

most sensible suggestion i'v read on this forum for a long time. easy solution last tackle swap places with either his centre or av paddy over sharpish. could sort the problem out. good hard grafting performance today. well done lads lets try and give the PLASTIC SCOUSERS THE SAME CUM THIS SAT com on you warriors believe in yourselves. YOU CAN WIN.

completely agree.

after all of the abuse (most of it justified) that nobby has received, it is time to say "well done brian"

by taking appropriate measures, at the right time, we now have backup in the halves for the first time in years.

am i also alone in thinking that sam had looked jaded in his last few starts, and that coming off the bench allows him to be more creative, as the pressure is off him to an extent ?

Ah, good taste!
What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

Smith ran the show, finally showing his quality. If he continues as he is and is willing to stay i would like to see him move to 7 next year with Tomkins taking the 6 shirt.

That being said Ainscoughs ability to finish is sometning very very special and in honesty I would not trade him for any other winger in RL at the moment, thats not to say he is the best player in the game on the Wing but he very well could be in a few years time.

Spot on...on all counts. Smith's passing was, once again, sublime this week!

Smith's passing game has always been sublime. Its really good to see him coming back stronger and fingers crossed - hes sorted his defence out.

Hes a talent theres no doubt about it. Lets see him do it against Saints next week.

Yes ainscough got 4 tries but only needed to finish really today, I seem to remember Hull beating bradford a few years back when shaun Briscoe got all 4 hull tries but swain got mom as briscoe only had to finish the tries, that being said he is one of the brightest young prospects we have had at the club for some time.
