Most definatly.
It’s not only Gleeson but Lockers, Hock, Tomkins x2, Prescott, Ainscough & Richards means we’ve got some very good talent that have yet to reach their peaks or prime.
One or two careful/choice signings at HB and Prop and I truly think we’ll be fighting for the top spot with Leeds and Saints which is where we belong.
Very good step in the right direction

If he was on a huge wage then I'd have put the lot of it toward a better scrum half than he is.

I wonder if the club are regretting a couple of signings they made in the summer. They've obviously spent good money on name players from the NRL at Hooker and on the wing before finding a player on the books already who's a world beater at 9 and an emerging star winger on sod all money whilst were short in other positions. Just a thought...

The Riddell signing hasn't been a bad one and in the long term i think he'll be a big influence around the club and a fine player for us.
As for the Roberts one it's not looking the best piece of business is it?!! Richards is solid at fullback but better on the wing and Ainscough looks a great long term bet.
Roberts hasn't been bad i suppose but you can't help feel the money would have been better spent on an out and out fullback if it were a back or more importantly a prop forward of real class.

I don't think the Pig is a bad signing either. However I don't think, given the chunk of the cap they will be sharing, we're in a position to play them for 40 minutes each. The Hooking role for mine if used with an interchange should be one of master and apprentice, the latter role being served adequately by McIlorum.

Good player, great attitude, best years ahead of him. Good signing, very pleased.
