Wigan need to be very careful as this could still happen to us. Glory fans or not they are the people we need to attract to our games and the only way to do it is by winning and having a quality team out.

I went to Odsal a few years ago and there were only 9,000 there that night.

Deffo, players like Trent Barrett put extra bums on seats for sure, can you imagine the crownds if we bought someone like Billy Slater, they would go up ten fold!

And we never had any of them??

I wouldn't feel too satisfied with Bradford's decline.



Up until a couple of weeks ago, I believed that we blew them away earlier in the season because we actually played well. The truth is clearly different.

It's a worrying trend for RL as a whole, Bradford were not only a major force on the field their support home and away boosted attendances across the board.



A few years ago Warrington were also looking to push on but have also dipped on and off the field, who's to say Saints, Leeds or Wigan aren't next?



Ambitious clubs made real efforts to promote the game a few years back to push the game back upto the level of RU, but now mediocrity and a know your place attitude have taken over, ambition has been driven out of the game.



Not only that but the entire regular season is now irrelevant, clubs, coaches, fans and more importantly Sky are only concerned with the play-offs.

Salary cap (communist cap) and the promotion and relegation is (and has been said on this many a time) been watering down the quality and progress of clubs.



If you get 20,000 every game you still cant spend more than a team who gets 4000 a game.



The salary cap needs to just be half of what you earn not 1.6million and relegation should be brought back.



Its Saints V Bradford next week on sky, usually i would be looking forward to it but not any more, just another boring game.

I can't speak for when Wigan blasted every team back in the 90's as I did not start going until 2003.



What I am basing my comment off is what I have seen with some Bradford fans when they were the top team and the loyalty of the Wigan fans who stuck with the team in 2006 when things looked very , very grim. Contrast that with the non show fans at Odsal.

McNamara has surely got to be the next coach gone.



He has destroyed Bradford.

Remember all the bulls fans laughing when Noble left saying they had the next best coach in the world, universe etc etc. Wonder were they are now, they wasnt at odsal the other night anyway.
