knowing Paul like i do i don't think even that would temp him from his 20 pints and a scrap on a saturday night

Least he would get mentioned in the great debate many posters have on here about lifestyle and the way players should behave on a Saturday night then.

aah I see, you mean he could not keep up with our lads?

Seriously though, I know Pengy. He is a crackin lad and the fact that he was not tempted or attracted - whichever - to play for Wigan is worrying.
He is a real talent. How many others are there who have never had the opportunity?

pengy has calmed down a lot in last few months as he has realised that going out on a saturday night getting blind drunk isnt the way forward and realises that he has a talent that could possibly see him go far in the game with the right guidance from a proffessional club coupled with his desire to improve and better himself in the game its only a matter of time before someone takes a chance on him .

To be fair, a lot of the SL players follow that lifestyle so it may not hinder him as much as he thinks.

The problem is though that the clubs aren't offering worthy contracts to non-1st team squad members. There are lads at Wigan who are out of pocket each week by the time they've travelled to and from training. Hardly a big incentive is it.
