yes he should be offered. his work rate is second to none and IIRC there were a lot of calls on hear toward the end of last year advocating him to take the captiancy from lockers due to his form and on field leadership. he is vocal and commited. i think that a pack is exactly that, a "PACK" ie a group of people who operate as a unit. we should be looking to get bring Props in as opposed to getting shut of any. perhaps it will be a reduced offer (if at all) but IMO big stu has never shuned any work, has always been honest with the fans for any lack of form he has suffered and has never (unlike a few of them) openly criticsed the fans for having a pop at the team when results dont go our way.
in a lot of ways he is a victim of his own succses because he will always tackled by at least 3 defenders. if our support players could learn to manipulate these gaps then we would all be saying how great a decoy runner he is for opening these holes in our oppositions line.
one thing i would like to see is him get in a few more punch ups, thus getting his temper up and increasing his aggresion. many will disagree but if you look how he was at Bradfurt he was always scrapping, therefore he have a real enforcer rep that opposition fans used to dread seeing because you knew that he would be all over your pack and probably comming out on top.

The amount of money it will free up means we can approach other targets with better offers than last year, but agents will know this and ask more money for their clients, swings and roundabouts, but if Noble is still here I think Fielden will be offered a new contract, reduced probably.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

He may not be the blockbusting prop of old but he still does a very good job and is on a par with the likes of Kylie Leuluai who we're reported to be interested in.
He'll have to take a huge drop in money and rightfully so but if he's willing to i'd keep him for certain.

Depends who is available how much we could retain him for and his performances over the next 9-12 months.
My gut feeling is no as I see LMS as a player who will be available then and would fill the role that should be filled by Fielden, ie of a grafting yard making Prop perfectly, but sadly rarly is fulfilled by him.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.
When it comes to Fielden he shouldn't be judged by the comparison of form at Wigan and Bradford.
Ok, he hasn't consistantly played as well as he did at Bradford but he's still one of our key forwards and takes us forward in attack and also defensively. He also has a huge presence about him and is strangely one of our longest serving players.

Yes he should at this point in time we need leaders and Fielden is a leader. His work rate is good and no matter what people say about how much he earns you know he will give 100% week in week out and will and has played with injuries. Saying that though he should and will be offered a lessers contract than he is currently on in order to give more money the youngsters coming through who will eventually take his place.
Also a little brancher heard a lot about Ben Davies, is this guy ready for the first team (maybe against Barrow) or what?
