I sent a text to a Stains fan during the game and he said exactly that, Smith screwed you against Hull KR. Some very inconsistant refereeing tonight. It's bad enough losing a game - and Wigan didn't deserve to win tonight - but when the ref rubs your nose in it, it just takes the pi$$.

Very frustrating :?

23 - 20 - 4

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

refs seem to assume Hock as lost the ball every time, he never seems to get the BOTD, penalty against Wigan every time. Opposition players know this and play for it :x

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

No known famous fans. Town apparently goes into hibernation when rugby league season ends.

I've just watched the first half and will watch the second tomorrow.

Leeds 1st try forward pass from Sinfield.
Leeds third try forward pas from Kirke, watch where he is tackled and watch where the ball bonces before it get's to Donald.

When things are going for you you get these decisions.

Hock loss of the ball once yes, but the other two were ball steals.
All marginal decisions, but ones that went against Wigan.

On another day they will go for us.

No lack of effort tonight. Leeds played well and took their chances, but we certainly didn't get any luck whatsoever.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

As a Wakey fan please explain how you can ever be an outsider?

You lot are the most biased AGAINST Leeds ever

It was one of those nights.

The bounce of the ball, the 50:50 decisions. Wigan simply couldn't get hold of the ball.

Not to worry, the result means nothing. This SL is a cup competition that starts in July/Aug.

In your case it WAS sour grapes, because you lost by one point to a team who you really should have beaten.

We lost convincingly, to a good side. Our comments on the ref are an aside to that.

Thank you. It wasn't just me who saw them, then.

Lines on the pitch would indicate otherwise regarding the Sinfield pass, and if you watched the game I'm sure you saw clearly that Kirke passed the ball backwards and it was knocked forward by the Wigan player tackling him. You did see that? Even Stevo saw it and commented on it and he's old and senile.

Smith let some borderline things go from both sides and kept the game moving. He went to the video ref when he needed to and got the major decisions right. I thought he had a fine game. To comapre him to the Australian baffoon who reffed the WCC is rediculous.
