i was working match day (for the wolves foundation) and i have to say i wasn't impressed with leeds. I think the World club cahllenge has taken it out of them.
Very scrappy game, both teams turning ball over far to easily and the wind played havoc for the fullbacks. they really we're there for the taking but due to wire's lack of ability they didn't.
Leeds paniced a bit when they wire started to press and with some good pressure in defence from warrington they caugh up some ball. Plus if peacock is not on the field next week its definatly to our benefit.
I am sure leeds will be much better on friday, but if they play anything like they did yesterday and we play like we did on friday, then we're in with a pretty good chance. Not that i'm holding my breath.
Stevo on a Craig Smith intersept, "that was like throwing tomato seeds out of a moving train window and coming back a year later and tomatoes have grown!"
Eddies reaction, "I don't know what he's been taking but i wants some"
Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, says he has failed to be gripped by England's rugby union World Cup bid.
"I've not seen it," said the England striker. "I've been watching the rugby league."
