Correct, and as you have said before the following year the first sending off in a CC final happened, one year too late for my money.

I still haven't seen Westwoods hit, it wasnt on the super league show was it. My mate said it wasn't as bad as that tackle from Bosc, which was shown. Can't find it on youtube

I was once at a dinner where the guest speaker was an old ref from Oldham who was TJ that day. He talked about ( a very young) Lindop pacing up and down the changing room at half time saying he should have sent him off. I think its fair to say the ref bottled it.
