Salford and how Paul Rowley coaches should be a blueprint for all sides who cannot spend as much as their rivals. They are all just totally committed and use it as motivation. The rugby they play is so easy on the eye as well. In a game like last night, where Wigan obviously were not at their best, you then get a lot of focus on that, when realistically all the praise should be on Salford. They forced us to scramble all night and gave us no space in attack. I can't help but continue to look at them and Rowley and then look at Huddersfield and think that Rowley was papering over the cracks for Watson (along with Gleeson) during his time at Salford. Huddersfield got the wrong man!

Another thing about Salford is how big they are in the forwards and threequarters, strength in depth will probably be their Achilles heel but that's a very good team

How horrible are Saints to watch. Their 'tumble it up the middle' rugby is the most boring spectacle. I notice the world class hunchback born on a coat hanger kid was missing in action again. Oh and i hate McManus' plastic shiny Cher face too.

I’d give them plenty of credit tonight. Leeds flew at them and to stick in took a big effort. If James Bell isn’t the best 13 at that club I’m a Saints fan.

A lot of missed tackles first half but they were dominant in the second forty. What about a Matuatia's tackle on Bentley?
I think it will be closer next week if Leeds learn their lesson.

Credit to Saints they tightened up their defence in the 2nd half and stopped Leeds playing.
They played their usual high intensity defence and attack and played to their strengths up the middle. Bell was the stand out, he can cause so many problems. They are never going to be an easy team to beat.
I thought Leeds started to believe their own hype and think they could attack from anywhere without putting the hard work in the middle which played into Saints hands making it easier to defend.

He is great. I really like the current use where we start Knowles at 13 for all the early intensity and then move him up to prop and bring on Bell at 13 to give us something different. Seems to work really well for us. Knowles has been fantastic when playing as a prop this year as well
The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.

Dont think there was anything in it tbh, the ball hadnt even been fully released when contact was starting to be made. He did exactly what the RFL are wanting players to do in a tackle, got low and into the gut. Was a great hit. I'd say I'd be surprised if he gets a sanction but the truth is I wouldn't lol

Good move that’s. Think bells a real decent prospect, he went a bit under the radar because of the like of Dodd and Welsby getting the plaudits. Ideally need to get him in the side for the full 80. Seems to have great hands for forward
Delaney keeps getting mentioned and I’ve not really watched many saints games, he the real deal. Be good to see him go up against Hill on GF
