I hope that Welsby signs a new deal with Saints, we need all the good players in SL that we can get. Having said that if he doesn’t go to the NRL we will never know how good he is.

Good news for the comp. It’s not the five year plus the option of an extra years deal spoke about in the Aussie press but he’ll do at the very least three years of that (and likely all four as Saints won’t sell him). He’ll still be young enough at the end of this to go over if he wants to do so but he genuinely doesn’t seem that bothered and fair play to him for that.

Great work by Saints. Jealous that they seem to be better than us at retaining players

Not just saints and Welsby but Wigan and smith (who I rate as the best 7 in SL)

Still expect both him and Smith to be in the NRL in 2026.

The 4 year deals will just mean both clubs can command a fee.
